Who are we?
Unified in a Fight (UIAF) is an organization centered on helping and providing support to people diagnosed with leukemia. We focus on creating and handing out care packages to patients, and we write essays about leukemia. UIAF was created by two 8th graders, Mandy and Namirah, both with the idea after wanting to help those in need.
Our mission
The funds from each care package purchased are donated to the National Foundation for Cancer Research to further leukemia research efforts. Every package not only brings joy to the children, but also contributes to their ongoing support and care. Our purpose for the essays are to spread awareness.

Mandy Sun
Hello! I'm a Co-Founder of UIAF. Namirah and I developed this idea during 8th grade. When I am at home, I am often engaged in art, piano, drawing, reading, and sleeping. I hope that in future we will be able to expand and aid more people who are in need. In the process we hope to educate and spread awareness so more people will strive for a change.
Namirah Haider
Hi! I'm a Co-Founder of UIAF. When I'm not spending time making care packages or studying for school I'm found doing an array of things such as reading, drawing, and attempting to bake delicious desserts. I hope that in the long run we manage to spread awareness and educate more people on the matter of leukemia.
